This structure dates back to 1873 and hosted Tuolumne Lodge No. 8 (later named Argonaut Lodge No. 8) on Main Street in Sonora. Argonaut Lodge later consolidated into Calaveras Lodge No. 8 and the Grand Lodge of California purchased the Sonora Masonic Hall building in 2023. A renovation project of the building was completed that involved updating the flooring, paint and electrical through the building, as well as installing a prep kitchen and refurnishing all the rooms.
